About the Client

Our client is a medical device company developing a novel, electromechanical medical device designed to detect kidney reflux in children. Their vision is to be ‘the method of choice for screening and monitoring kidney reflux in children, enhancing patient experience and clinical outcomes’.


About the Role

The software engineer will be an active member of the technical team.  The role will focus on the design and implementation of signal processing or user interfaces. Reporting directly to the CTO, you will be required to explore novel signal processing methods and innovative software solutions that will drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:
  • Working closely with the design and management team to help define and design highly usable and responsive solutions to meet all stakeholder requirements.
  • Developing data processing algorithms.
  • Designing and implementing rich user experiences.
  • Working effectively in a cross-functional team.
  • Participating in the full development life cycle including requirements analysis, design, implementation, verification and validation.
  • Contributing to code and design review processes.
  • Producing requirements, architecture, design and user documentation.



  • A minimum of 3 years technical engineering industry experience or PhD in biomedical/electrical/electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • A bachelor’s degree in biomedical/electrical/electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • Experience in C and OpenGL.
  • A proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in an ISO regulated industry.
  • Experience in GTK, MATLAB, Python, Git, issue tracking and continuous integration.
  • Up to date knowledge of technical advancements in Electrical Impedance Tomography.
