Our client is looking for a creative and hands-on Design Engineer to join their fast-paced and dynamic Product Development team.

About the Role

As a Design Engineer, you will focus on new product development, tackling challenges in the healthcare environment. This is an opportunity to take products incorporating complex electromechanical assemblies from early concept through to mass production.

 

Responsibilities include:
  • Developing new ideas from scratch and creating proofs of concept.
  • Creating 3D CAD models and building working prototypes in-house for evaluation and testing.
  • Producing full product specifications for manufacture, including drawings, labelling and associated documentation.
  • Managing pre-launch product testing.

Requirements:

Essential:
  • Experience working with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD program.
  • Hands-on small tools and bench experience including general metal and woodwork.
  • Experience designing mechanical linkages.
  • Ability to collaborate on activities.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing requirements, led by customer insights.
